I’m afraid if it was on Rancid he wouldn’t even get you started everyday.

Heard that some companies are going to try out a four day work week. Maybe Thorny will get his wish.

I used to work four 10’s with Thursday off. It was great, like having 2 weekends every week.

Most of my career I worked 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week. For several years my days off were Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, which was nice because I could do the grocery shopping and any errands while most others were at work.

If I had three day weekends I’d rather have Friday off. If you have Monday off that just makes Tuesday into Monday. Plus think of the burden on Jim Davis who would have to alter his whole strip to accommodate Garfield’s Monday-phobia!

Worked four 10 hour days when l was a cop. Wasn’t bad at all. Allowed me to go to school and get my Law Degree and ultimately a new career. I actually ended up working a lot more on a 4 day workweek and really never had anytime off for myself between work and school. No complaints though….

    I’d take a 4day 10hr week over a 5day 8hr week.

My Son-in-law, a registered nurse, works 3 12 hour days a week-he took Fri, Sat and Sun because he get higher pay for working weekends and usually picks up another 12 shift for the overtime

With Brutus’ luck, that work week might start on Tuesday and end on Monday.

It’s easy to get back in the swing of things when you don’t do much anyway.

A better question is whether Brutus has ever gotten into the swing of things in the first place.

One of my neighbors starts his week on Tuesdays. He also works on Saturdays, so his weekend is Sunday and Monday. He likes it.

Once I hit 30 years and got six weeks of vacation, I was able to take every other Monday off plus a week in the summer and at Christmas. Gave me something to look forward to…

I’ve often thought that if I could travel back in time and change one little bit of history, it would be to adopt the four-day work week as the standard. Problem is that when the five-day week was set in place, no one had ever heard the term, “work-life balance.”
