Gladys’ only flaw is mother Gargle.

Brutus is so brutally honest.

She’s no prize either….and ma Gargoyle is excess baggage no one in their right mind would want.

I’m not judging, but maybe nobody else would have him.

Pretty much frees him of any shred of responsibility for himself. Anything from here is an improvement.

He is still doing better than Ziggy

Should Brutus be concerned that Gladys isn’t trying to stop him?

Brutus must be feeling a little down today, a little off his game. No sensible man married for so many years would recount so many shortcomings to his wife.

And in panel 4, she’d better be talking him up!

Yes, religion is evil. It teaches mankind must do enough good works and penitence to save themselves. Because of man’s fall, he brought death upon all. God sent His Son to shed His blood for the remission of sin. Salvation is by Christ Jesus and through Him alone.
