Smart fish did that

He caught a floe.

What did you expect from ice fishing?

At least you can say that you caught something. Other than a cold…….

But ice floats on liquid water, so how did he manage to hook that “floe” below the surface?

I wonder if he’s over the limit on that catch…hmm.

I wonder what he used for bait.

My last fishing trip went that way.

Cartoons are not bound by mere physics

As it approaches the freezing temperature to the ice stage, water becomes light so ice floats. All Liquids will do that. All other material condense and sink. If frozen liquids didn’t float Earth would become an ice planet in a few years. Pretty slick designing on someone’s part. Makes me wonder.
