    Monarchs live for 2 to 6 weeks, except, one generation a year migrates south and lives 6 to 9 months in order to make the round trip. Imagine living 8 times as long as your parents.

    I know a woman who saves found butterfly wings. When she finds a butterfly with damaged wing but still alive she will do surgery. Removes the damaged wing, glues on one of the saved good wings and a day later lets the creature go with it’s new wing to get to migration.
