    What, they couldn’t get enough parents to play more than three-on-three, with what is either a ten-foot-high net (have fun trying to block/spike over one of those) or one that goes down to about a foot off the ground, there’s no referee’s platform (where is he in the first panel, anyway), and there aren’t even lines on the court?

    My guess: the expected (choose one: power failure; something – say, a tree – smashing through the windows, which would have the added bonus of, “Well, we didn’t make enough money for a new lunch room AND to replace the windows”) will happen with the score tied in the final set, and the last panel in the last strip of the storyline will probably be both Kat and Charlotte thinking to themselves, “My mom would have won”
