Does he keep a mallet handy in the boudoir for just such occasions ?

There’s something about a heavy mallet that puts fun and whimsy back into an annoying cuckcoo clock.

It WAS cute up to a point.

Don’t beat up the Grandfather Clock. He likes wearing the bells.

Who sleeps with their glasses on?

I love my pendulum clocks. I have five, four are cuckoo. I’ve grown up with ticking clocks and would probably have trouble sleeping if I didn’t here the tic tock tic tock.

You can fix a cuckoo clock to not cuckoo. You just don’t pull the chain that controls the movement for the cuckoo part.

We have a cuckoo clock, but unfortunately, our parrot hates it with a passion, and we had to take it out of service (put it on a wall behind a door that’s always open). The last time it was out and operational, our parrot attacked it and tried to dismantle it. Oh well, not everyone likes the cuckoo bird. :P

Much funnier than today’s comic- but then I love almost all of the Pilsner episodes!

Try having a grandfather’s clock in the next room…

This reminds me of a Pink Panther cartoon. The PP is sleeping soundly when an old fashioned, double bell alarm clock goes off on his nightstand. He reaches under the bed, pulls out a wooden mallet and smashes the alarm clock. He then opens the drawer of the night stand to reveal a drawer full of smashed alarm clocks. He throws the clock in the drawer, closes the drawer and goes back to sleep.

Oooooooooooooooh! Right in the whimsy!!!!!! :)
