Reminds me of some BBT comedy, where somehow Smokey the Bear came up in the conversation, and Raj had to inquire… and they explained.

Raj said, we didn’t have Smokey the Bear, we had Moon-Moon the Mongoose, he taught us about the dangers of Cobras. Howard said: you needed a Mongoose to teach you not to play with deadly snakes. And Raj retorted: oh, and you needed a cartoon Bear to teach you not to burn your forests down!?

Just some more ingrained comedy. ㋡

They have changed Smokey’s slogan to “Only you can prevent wildfires.”

Smokey the Bear was even let go….he’s now rooming with BooBoo in an abandoned cabin in the North.

Yes, humans are at fault for some, but more blame goes to power companies like PG&E in California. If those companies cleaned up their acts and monitored their equipment, there would be less wild fires.

Decades of fire suppression led to massive firestorms.

Neither are tall enough to be lightning rods. Maybe if they were up in a 300-foot tower … and as a sideline they could have binoculars to find smoke.
