It’s a full, four-cornered update for October 14th, though I wasn’t able to get to that 1930 Sunday page yet, or get Walt home either. Maybe he stopped off in Havana for a night of fun, and a soft bed to rest up for the next leg of the journey.
I don’t mind that this story arc has delved entirely into fantasy — there’s always been a good bit of whimsy in GA.
But the kick that Hoagy aims at the bear in the last panel (along with “Get out!”) seems misplaced, much too aggressive given what came before it. I don’t understand why she’s suddenly so mad.
Hard to tell from the drawing but if that is a brown bear, he will consume about 80 – 90 pounds of food every day. I hope Hoogie has a really, really big fridge. And at some point in the not so distant future, he is going to take a very long siesta which kind of nixes the babysitting idea.
