Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
When I am watching British shows on PBS I use closed captioning. I know theyâre speaking English, but Iâll be darned if I can understand them sometimes.
We started putting the closed captions on while watching a streaming series: The Man in the Hightower. Could NOT understand the lead female AT ALL. Slurring, dropping her pitch on the last word. It was annoying. But we got to LIKE this feature and even though we are not hard of hearing (well, maybe just a little at 66), there is such a variation of volume in these movies and features todayâŠ.special effects are much too loud and dialogue is way too soft or muffled. We now leave the cc on ALL the time.
â;-D extremely good artwork then in your avatar. All paintbrushed on invisible body ;-) please dont scratch, you might scare someone with the invisible parts.â
LOL ! Â I would love to scratch off .. to reveal the real pretty me and not the grey grizzly depicted. LOL !
My hearing is fine but have been using CC for years due to watching shows in languages I donât know. Also fast speech, mumbles, various accents. Am at the point where I donât like going to movie theaters because no CC. :)

I use CC for Brit shows also. That way I can spell the occasional unfamiliar word for googling purposes.
Been watching a lot of âAcornâ during the writers strike. I enjoy not having to watch âadvertsâ.

CC usually âinterpretsâ words incorrectly. Often getting one or 2 of the words completely wrong and sometimes half are missing from the screen
