He saved himself cleaning out the gutters, too.

I just found out that “FRAMMIN AT THE JIM-JAM FRIPPIN IN THE KROTZ!” is “¡TRIQUI TRACA TRUCU, BIM BAM BUM!” in Spanish.

Now he uses magic to clean the leaves.

Then again yesterday he only broke the window, and gutter, not the whole house.

I remember back in the mid 70s in one of the Wizard of Id comics, when he said FRAMMIN AT THE JIM-JAM FRIPPIN IN THE KROTZ in the first frame, in the next frame the “moral majority comic censors” were on him saying something about it suggested something immoral. Can’t quote it verbatim because it’s been a lot of years ago, but I remember it made us laugh! A bunch of us went around yelling FRAMMIN AT THE JIM-JAM, FRIPPIN IN THE KROTZ! You could tell the Wizard fans because they’d join in. We got a lot of strange looks from the non-Wiz fans…

Haven’t seen him use that expression in a while.

Are acts of wizard covered by (their) homeowners insurance?

I think I know what went wrong. Shouldn’t the spell have been cast as, “Jammin’ At The Frim-Fram [Sauce]?”

On the plus side, I think his house is sitting on a witch in Oz. On the negative side I suspect Id is now at war with Oz.

That first panel looks like what someone would say after their magic went haywire.

It has been a while since we’ve heard/read that incantation. But back in the day the Wiz would have his arms outstretched like he was pouring his heart and soul into saying it.

Wiz, you are so cleared of life when she gets up.

“Scorched earth” is not a good leaf cleaning option.

That incantation never worked right.

I think I’ll continue to chew the leaves up with the mower rather than use that spell.

I remember that old incantation from 50 years ago.

Hopefully there’s a ‘reverse’ mode for that spell…

I never got the American obsession with cleaning up leaves. Just let them be… No need to clean them up.
