When did Mopey Pete get therapy? Did he visit Rex Morgan and try the Mirakle Method? Or was he in a locked psych ward and believed the inmate who claimed he was Sigmund Freud?

And—who will buy the comic business?

I used to wonder why the comics curmudgeon and comment it’s on here hated mopey Pete so much. But the smug radiating off him is making me woozy.

Wait a minute, doesn’t SHE also work at the comics factory? Isn’t she a colorist there? How would she feel about Pete quitting which would probably result in the place shutting down because Chester wouldn’t have any idea how to replace him?

Nothing says it like a smirk.

Is it just me, or does Pete look like he’s quite a few years older than Mindy? Maybe it’s the way he’s drawn with the bags under his eyes?

Is this all just ruse to bring back the pizza monster for Halloween?

So, 10 years in the future Funky closes Montoni’s, but Pete is considering buying it now?

You think a cartoonist works 5 minutes a day? Gees, you really dilusional. What cheap drugs are you on? Charles Shulz worked 10-12 hours EVERY day. You worked retail? With your attutude I am sure you didn’t have many customers. lol

I would hope that Pete’s intended future partner in all things splashes some very cold water on this idea. He may have the capital, the dream, but does he really have everything else, including the willingness to work odd, probably long hours, to make this work?

So the point of P3 is that if you work in the comics industry you need therapy. Got it.

Where’s Crankshaft?

If I wanted to read about Funky Winkerbean characters and locales, I’d read the Funky Winkerbean archives. Oh, wait, for a certain reason there aren’t any available. I guess I’d have to spring for one of the twelve $45 hardbound The Complete Funky Winkerbean volumes.

I’m less than enthused by this story arc. At the rate it’s moving, it will take three weeks. Well, I’m not into self-abuse. See you around Veterans Day.
