Actually love this gag, it’s original and Nate deserved a win like that, after all those years of Gina bragging.

Nate is literally trying to friendly and comfort her in the beginning and she returns it by bragging. She definitely needed to be humbled there

Nate can actually use his red pen to correct his score for other occasions. Like if Nate gets a really low score of 10 on a test, he can add an extra 0 at the end. Then when Mr. Wright gets a call from a teacher telling him about Nate getting a bad grade on the test (but not mentioning the score), Nate can show him the test scored 100. Mr. Wright would be like “Oh that’s a perfect score! Well done, Nate, carry on! ‘Low score’, yeah right. What a discouraging teacher.” Behold the power of the red pen! Sadly, it’s a different shade of red, so that’s a dead giveaway
