Vultures would have been even better.

My mom’s sister works in a bakery and is always in a bad mood.

She’s my cross aunt.

If I were to break my arm, I’d be in a really bad mood…

…which is a shame, because otherwise I could make a humerus pun.

The girl delivering my wife’s baby was in such a bad mood today.

Think she was going through a midwife crisis.

I was in a really bad mood earlier because my wife accused me of always trying to turn everything in to a joke. After hours of awkward silence, she finally gave in and asked, “What’s the matter!?”

I replied, “It’s the basic structural component of the universe…”

The birds may distract the king from the vital task of keeping the throne from moving from where it is in the throne room. [Then again, the birds may inspire him to do some other important task (like perching out on his balcony).]

Hopefully Wiz’s funk isn’t as bad as mine when I get into a rut.

It’s an unkindness.

The trees on my block are full of crows this month. I don’t see what that has to do with anyone’s mood. Is there some kind of circuitous connection with Edgar Allan Poe (who would hate to be remembered for a single Raven meme)?

Where are the other four blackbirds? Are they already in the pie? Did the king eat them?

I don’t get it. Clearly some of you do, so please explain. Thank you.
