This is why I don’t do FB. They aren’t to be trusted. Their TOS turned me off.

I can’t stand Facebook or any social media app. Gocomics is as close as I will get, and even then there are comments sections I will not touch with a ten foot pole.

Considering how the CEO started the company, why would anyone trust them?

There was a time when the FCC protected our children from distortions/lies and uncivil/indecent communications, but there was money to be made by curtailing their moderation and pretending that the Internet was somehow different and did not need any guidance.

Leaving FB was one of the best things I ever did – that and never getting involved with Twitter or Instagram. Life’s too darn short. I’d much rather waste my time making comments here… ;)

The internationally known product Facebook is now Meta. The internationally known product Twitter is now X. Who are the idiots making these monumental blunders?

@FreyjaRN- GM Ms. Freyja and I do agree with you however, as I tell many folks who are turned off by FB and other social media, you have to pick and choose who you want as friends and the discussions you engage in. You have sneaky, crazy folks out there who will pretend to be someone they aren’t so that they can get into everyone else’s business! Those are the ones who have no life! But social media is a great way to get to meet and know people you would normally never meet, anywhere in the world. And that’s why they have interest groups on there. You just have to pick the one for you. And also why many folks are turned of by social media is because they see their friends and other people put there whole flippin’ life out there!!

Years ago I told a friend that I’d rather jump in front of a bus than join Facebook. I haven’t changed my view on that.
