They have to be from the south part of the country. No one else in the country would wear a Hat, bow tie, and a suit that is so old that it stops at the ankles on vacation and it what universe would a husband and wife wear the same shoes?
I bet my bottom dollar (Get it?) that Andy told them that.

@Everyone
Tomorrow will be my last day at my temp job. I was informed today. I got a lovely leaving card and some jelly sweets/chocolate. A packet of Haribos, Cadbury’s Twirl Bites and a bar of smooth Galaxy Chocolate.
I’ve had such a great time working there and I’m so sad it’s come to an end. I plan to do some more volunteering to keep myself busy until I find some more paid work. I will keep you all updated. Thank you all so much for your incredible support during my journey ;-)

I learned a new word. Quaint, “Attractively unusual or old-fashioned”. Maybe it’s just me. (•‿•)

:-) “Y’all” is singular. “All y’all” is plural.

Chuck and Martha – giving the “good ol’ USA” a bad reputation yet again. After being so demeaning, they deserve to buy all the drinks.

Be sociable and offer to buy 1 round.

When in port overseas, we didn’t have to say a word for others to know we where we were from. Our military haircut said it all.

Nobody in the good ol’ USA wears purple suits.
DarkHorseSki about 1 year ago
I’ve lived in the UK (including London), and none of us Yanks will be dressed up like that when we go to a pub. But we might, certainly, buy a round.
edle5 about 1 year ago
People from USA also wear purple suits?
Buckeye67 about 1 year ago
Well, he did do a lot for improving US/British relations. I bet they even invited them to come back tomorrow.
