Bad enough I’ll probably be singing that in my head for the rest of the day, but now I have to think about whose name it really was. Ugh. I’m going back to bed.
I just watched the episode of Young Sheldon from the other night (repeat from February) and Sheldon rented the movie Bingo. I’d seen that movie. Don’t remember much other than saving the kid that almost drowned.
We came close to adopting a dog named Bingo. I told my wife: If we do, how many times will we hear that song? (Dog was not a good fit; nothing to do with name actually)

A local farmer, Ralph Furough, originally from South Carolina has a dog named Bingo. Bingo is a beagle who came from a litter of five.
Really hard to sing that version.

I’ve always thought it was the dog, but now I’ll be pondering this existential question all day.

When I was growing up, we named one of our dogs Bingo.
Another one we usually called Snork. (It had a kind of a snorky bark.)
We did not have a Fleegle or Drooper.

I always assumed it was the dog’s name.

The farmer had a lot of get-a-Bingo.

In proper grammar the object reflects the last noun prior to the verb. Bingo was the dog’s name .
