Allergic to cat hair? Your feelings are showing Arlo.

Poor old man. And I mean the cat.

Suddenly I wonder if Gus’ condo association allows pets.

Ludwig, should hide in their luggage and go to the coast with them

Ludwig has been around for 30 years now, so I think this may be Jimmy’s way of easing him out of the strip.

Many hotels are pet friendly, is there any way you’d consider taking him with you?

I love cats, but lately they’ve been causing a lot of sneezing and runny noses when I get close to them

What I got was that Arlo is blaming his watery eyes on cat hair…

The truth is, Janis is asking why he had tears in his eyes. He used the excuse of cat hair in the eye. He will miss Luddy while they are gone. That plus Luddy’s age…his time left on this earth is dwindling, and Arlo knows it. Arlo has a VERY soft spot for Luddy, especially while Luddy is snuggled in his arms.

My cat reads me riot act when I get home from a trip.

I’m not crying, my eyes are just all “sweaty”.

OMG, is that why he doesn’t want to move? The cat is too old to adjust?

Always tell your pets when you are going away and when you will be back. It’s just polite.

My cat loved traveling. His favorite riding spot was on the right side of the dashboard where he could watch out the windshield.

A few years ago this strip introduced a new character as a next door neighbor and then she just disappeared. What happened there?

We lost one of our older cats shortly after returning home from the last of several trips that kept us away from home. To this day, I feel like if I had been home more I could have maybe noticed the warning signs and gotten him to the vet sooner, and if not gotten more time with him, at least eased his suffering.

RESPECT! for an old man and his cat.

I feel the same way when I go away and leave my cats alone.

I know exactly how you feel.

Back when I pet sat for friends and family, I’d make sure I spent a couple of hours there each day so the animals wouldn’t get too lonely. I didn’t subscribe to a paid TV service, so being able to watch their TV while I was pet sitting was a bonus.

Felix, my bestest cat, travelled by train, plane, boat and car all with the same indifference to the mode of transportation. Train and plane were his least favorite as he had to stay in his carrier. For the boat he had his own life jacket, and in the car, he always peeked behind the passenger seat to see if there was a litter box. If not, he stood on the seat with his front paws at the window and watched the scenery. If there was, he curled up on his seat and slept.

For crying out loud!!

Take Ludwig with you!!!!

Ludwig must be pretty old. Seems like he’s always been with Arlo and Janis and the salmon colored sofa.
