The plan that was made for me already was to be cremated and my ashes to be put in the same outdoor mausoleum as the rest of my immediate family, but I have been considering having them place half of the ashes in the ground to help grow a tree. That way I can help make a difference in what ever is going to be left of modern society while it’s still around, but my family and I can be together while we watch it all unfold.
I think I’d like to be wrapped in cellophane double bagged in one of those fancy pull string trash bags, not the twist tie type, and placed in a new container with a raccoon proof top then wheel down to the end of the driveway, with a Polka Band that is just learning to play the bagpipes. Hopefully this will get back at my neighbors who are constantly using their leaf blowers.
Latin is the only way to go. I was raised as a Reform Jew but we sang some music in Latin in the high school chorus. Latin vowels make everything better.
Latin: wanted to reply on Amanda’s comment two days ago, but it would have been out of place there. The “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him” etc. is beautiful in Latin.

I’m not that concerned about what they do with my body, as long as they make sure I’m finished with it first.

You’ll haunt Father – and going before my beloved husband? That would be selfish. He can’t cook.

“…Who are only undefeated
Because we have gone on trying;
We, content at the last
If our temporal reversion nourish
(Not too far from the yew-tree)
The life of significant soil.”
