It would be better ordering in Italian: “Due pizze Margherita per me e mia moglie e una ‘Diavola’ per mia suocera.”

Reminds me of that Digiorno commercial from years ago. A few guys are sitting around watching a ball game on TV, and one says, “That’s the best delivery pizza I’ve ever tasted.” A young woman walks in holding up an empty Digiorno frozen pizza box and says, “It’s not delivery, [runs her finger across the word] it’s Dijjj…it’s Dijjj…it’s French!” :-D

Pretty low, Mother Gargle. Pretty. Low. You’re getting a free meal; shut up, enjoy it, and THANK the man.

Well, the word pizza is of Latin origin which some French people might have studied, but the word parlor originated from the French ‘parler’ meaning to speak. So people working in a pizza parler should be able to understand people speaking in French.

He tried to speak French? That’s pretty daring for a monoglot.

when i was in the Navy overseas, i still had a little French and Spanish left in me from school days, but what i would do would be to try to order in French in Spain, and in Spanish in France, and the waitresses would always end up speaking English to me…as long as you put in an effort, it will be rewarded

Well, Momma, if you’re so worried about being embarrassed, then you can stay at home. I’m sure Brutus won’t mind paying for one less meal.

If he speaks French, that is very impressive indeed. AND he may know the Pizza Parlor owner and that he spoke French himself. She didn’t say that he messed up the order so. Brutus, “accroche-tois attendez” and to the Wiccked witch of the west" va t’en"……

    Order the way I do…

“I want pepperoni on every other slice, and on the first slice in between I want mushrooms, on the second I want olives, on the third — do you have anchovies?…”

Usually if someone is able to speak a foreign language, they know the country of origin for the language, but not Brutus. Well, French is derived from Latin and Latin originated in what is now Italy, so he does have some history on his side.

Aucun problème: “Garçon, un pizza, s’il vous plaît!” Mieux vaut pour le portefeuille être dans une pizzeria que dans un vrai restaurant français comme “La Maison de Presque Rien à Manger pour Tout Votre Argent”

He entered a pizza parlor and ordered the moo goo gai pan and a side of tacos in French.

Plot twist: They brought it all out.
