I remember our complete Encyclopedia Britannica, 1963 edition, from when I was a kid. When I turned 8, my parents got me the âWorld Bookâ, an encyclopedia meant to be kid friendly, but still pretty detailed and informative.
I was reading through some encyclopedias from the late 1800s, and I was amazed at some of the âfactsâ that were in them. Many things that science simply didnât know enough about, so they assumed a lot. And now those misconceptions have been proven false.
