    Back in the day, I had a Palm Pilot for work, and I don’t recall it being very complicated. When I was at the office, I’d just work on my computer and then sync it to the PP for later work if I needed it. Those were the days when we weren’t expected to do much work remotely, unlike now.

    The basic problem with the PDA was input/output. Typing on one was torture for anyone used to a real keyboard. These were not Internet-capable phone devices. Even connecting one to a printer could be a major effort. I was doing freelance IT support during this time period and saw it all.
