Once again: The point of banning abortions is NOT to reduce their number. Contraceptives, sex education, access to health care and other efforts, would accomplish that.

That is NOT the objective.

The objective is to PUNISH SINNERS, women sinners, and especially poor women sinners. (of course, being poor shows that they are not in God’s graces and are therefore sinners anyway)

And does ANYONE believe that once abortions are made illegal, that they will not be available to Republican legislators?

Don’t poke the bear

The bodies of women belong to the government as in government property. I wonder why that won’t sell?

It’s really simple: If it’s not your body, it’s not your choice.

Isn’t their rallying cry – less government? And then they stick their noses into women’s [and anybody else’s they can] rights. Two-faced liars and hypocrites. If their daughter [or mistress] needs or wants an abortion – she will get it.

Those who feel that thousands of years of many translations of the bible have made no difference are ignoring truth.

Bart Ehrman was such a devoted Christian that he wanted to read the original bible, or the oldest one he could find, in order to see what it really said. He even learned ancient Greek to do so. And he found that many things in today’s popular bibles were nowhere to be found in the ancient copies. He also found in subsequent copies that some of the stories included now were hand-written in margins in older versions. Feel free to read his book: Misquoting Jesus.

Another thing to think about: the story about Moses coming down the mountain with the ten commandments had two translations from the Aramaic during the Roman empire’s reign. One stated that Moses had a glow. The other translation stated that Moses had horns.

Republicans are going to win the Senate as the map is really, really, really difficult for Dems to hold onto the majority this cycle. If they somehow hold onto the House, all it is going to take is enough idiots and uninformed people to not vote for Biden, and bye-bye Democracy, women’s rights, minority rights, and pretty much all of our rights under the Fascist’s rule. The Orange Fuhrer just said he’s going to deport millions every single year. That’s after jailing anyone who disagrees with or makes fun of him. Read up on John Adams and the Alien & Sedition Act if you are like a lot of people who think “It can’t happen here!”. Or just read Project 2025 which the Republicans put out early like Mein Kampf was with everyone going “Nah, that’ll never happen.”. And Adams actually believed in Democracy and helped write the Declaration of Independence. The Orange Fuhrer and most of the people in the Republican Party never have and crave an authoritarian ruler as long as it is theirs.

I’m rooting for the bear.

They wanted states to have the right to decide on this issue. When the people in these states didn’t support the GOP agenda, then, all of a sudden, they want the federal government to ban abortion. If it’s the states rights to either uphold the ban, or reject it, then there’s no reason to get the federal government involved. But then the GOP knows that the majority of Americans don’t want their policies. Rick Santoriam got on CNN and said that democracy wasn’t always the best idea. He asked the question, what was the GOP thinking? According to him, they should do everything they can to stop these issues from being voted on, because they know they will lose.
