I’m pretty good at making up excuses too, Cathy. Although usually mine involves avoiding the mess in the house, and my excuse is usually “I need to go exercise.” How ironic… :-)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!
Nomentum! Love that word as it fits me too. However, since it has not been mowed in over 2 weeks I think I had better get a little momentum and go mow the lawn.
Have a great Friday – and a fantastic long weekend for those celebrating Thanksgiving on Monday.
When I was working, my job was my exercise —up, down, walk, crawl under cars, up down, walk, drive, up, down—repeat. Someone said “it’s not the heat; it’s the humidity.” Sometimes it is the heat AND the humidity. But, it could also be too wet, or too windy, or too darn cold. In office showers would have been nice, but I was rarely in the office.
I need to start going to my gym more often, but I have been working on taking walks to a park blocks from my house when the weather is nice. Also, I live in a third floor walk up (with an additional set of stairs for the basement) so going up those three (and, on occasion, four) sets of stairs helps too. But, I have found that when I’m back from walk (or the gym) I’m in a better mood than before. The trick is getting motivated

Walks come first and I drive for an hour to get to the park, walk for an hour, drive an hour to get back home and it is all worth it.

I used to walk pretty regularly, but now work and life get in the way. I really need to restart.
I, too, love “nomentum”. Gonna have to use that one myself.
HI, MOM. Happy late Friday, “Cathy” Clan.
