Prey or Pray?

Vultures are birds of prey. Cardinals are birds of pray.

Thanksgiving, day of grace, National Leftovers Day. Makes sense

Sure hope that’s not Ralph.

There’s not enough there to keep a bird alive.

If they only eat leftovers, then these are leftover leftovers. We need a new word for that.

National Leftovers Day!

Translation: Turkey Tacos for a week.

I wish I had a nice piece of leftover turkey thigh or breast. Sigh. Not until December 25.

What’s this thing called leftovers …?

Leftovers are fine with me. ’Tis the season to cook a few batches of soup and stew and chili in the slow cooker, and stockpile several quarts in the freezer for the long hard winter.

I can’t believe anyone is waiting for the other. Not in the real world.

Ha! Prey they die so you don’t starve!

And one vulture says to the other, “Patience my A__, I’m gonna kill somenthing.”

Next year, Thanksgiving in the States will be the 28th. It’s funny to think “Leftovers Day” will take place before Thanksgiving.

Sorry, no, they won’t prey, they’ll scavenge.
