I’ll leave it to Jason to spoonerize Richie Ashburn’s name, but I couldn’t resist remarking on how it turns into an amusing skin condition.

I think old Purkharam is pulling the wool over somebody and getting plenty of nap time.

Was the Richie fan his mother-in-law?

Perhaps I don’t understand. Is he sleeping for 20 to 25 days? He would starve to death!

Lucky him. From what I see daily, he ain’t missing much! I do worry that one day he’ll wake up, and we’ll all be gone…

Having that condition seems like a nightmare, really!

That sleep thing is something! If you sleep 8 hrs each day for 60 years, you’ve slept for 20 yrs.

Ashburn’s foul balls were even worse than they sound. The first one hit a woman in the face and broke her nose, the second foul hit her as the medics were carrying her out.

If they ever develop a vaccine for axis hypersomnia, I don’t want it. It certainly shouldn’t be mandatory!

The worst part about what Richie Ashburn did was that they weren’t foul balls. He deliberately threw them at her. /s

I checked the Heritage Auction site for a Richie Ashburn signed baseball—about $330. It MIGHT be worth it to get hit :)

Well, they say the most important thing for a batter is to have a “repeatable” swing.

Chinook (Avatar) would once in awhile, have those actions …. never considered that it was stress …… I just figured that he was chasing something (still do) and was reliving a fun time …… :)
