Ah, so even Odie is not immune to the post-holiday emotional slump.

From what I remember reading, dogs don’t just wag their tails when they’re happy, they also wag them for different reasons. If it’s wagging from the right, that means they’re happy, but if it’s wagging from the left, it means that they’re cautious or uncertain.

Truly remarkable, considering the view it has.

I think Odie is suspicious of Garfield and his tail is the detector.

Maybe it’s a nervous twitch.
