Poor Anteater! Sadly, I follow the same path. “Yes, I got a gut ache the last umpty times I ate that, but surely this time will be different.” I’m a walking, talking embodiment of the dictum about “doing the same thing over and over.”

Ice cream gives me a headache. I eat it anyway. It’s worth it! (This is my favorite season for ice cream because spumoni is available again!)

I’m lactose intolerant, but I take lactase and I’m fine.

I never had brain freeze. Wonder why.

Poor thing. That’s why I usually eat ice cream slowly.

Poor baby. It happens to all of us in some way. Hope he/she feels better soon.

I would have thought an ant eater would get extra jimmies (sprinkles).

They say that second marriages are the triumph of hope over experience. Perhaps anteater was trying to see if this was true.

Gobble up a bunch of ants to help you digest that ice cream. Thankfully, I have never had a problem with dairy.

Poor Aardvark! How can something as lovely as ice cream cause so much misery (but I know it can, for many different reasons) … I hope it can find a version that won’t cause pain.

On Maxx’s Cat’s Cafe FB page, the 3rd panel does have Anteater saying “LACTOSE!” instead of “OH FUDGE!”

I’ve read this one 5 times this week, once each day of the work week… and I still don’t get it.

I’m lactose intolerant. I take lactase and I still get gas and stomach cramps. I’m also milk protein intolerant.

I am worried about the lack of Cat’s Cafe even though I see that some people above have other ways of communicating with our favorite artist. Would be great to see something on here from Tarpley :)
