Like those weird access ladders they had on the original Star Trek. I always wondered what happened should the turboshafts fail? Was there on the starships, no stairs ANYWHERE?!

It is cheaper to use gym climbing ropes.

REAL WORLD WARNINGS

DON’T ever enter an elevator shaft. There are powerful mechanisms operating fully automatically with no respect for your life and limb.

DON’T ever try to “pack” an elevator. When I was in college, a group tried that stunt. One died when the overloaded elevator started slipping. It took hours.

Watch out for anyone coming up.

He pressed/grasped the bit in between the arrows which is , in effect a horizontal bar, as well as the down arrow, hence the ladder. Subtle.
