Reminds of the local club that had the girls stripping to Shakespeare and other cultured artistic stuff.

Years ago one of the skin emporiums in Orlando tried to get around a new attempt to limit their show’s content by doing a “Nude Macbeth”.

After shutting down “massage parlours” in the early 1970s several cities in Silicon Valley outlawed nude dancing. One allowed it but outlawed selling food and beverages in a location that had it. The locations that had it worked around the law by having barely clothed live dancers but with videos of them in the all together dancing at the same time.

Many years ago, I went to a University Auditorium to watch a Japanese Butoh Dance group, Dairakudakan, give a rendition of their latest creation, “Being born is a great talent in itself.”. It had both male and female nudity, but was so wonderfully done with such skill you never gave that aspect a thought. Butoh, literally “dark dance”, emerged after the atomic bombings in Japan as a type of artistic therapy for the radioactive horrors experienced. Performers are painted all white to appear like ghosts. Over time, Butoh has evolved into a form of social commentary of the human condition, and life in Japan in particular.

Now Donnie’s saying the court orders not to defame court employees and threaten witnesses during his trials infringe on his First Amendment rights.

They will need to put a conservative to conspiratorial spin on their gig to suit modern sensibilities.
