I’ve never seen a dead rabbit or hare on the highway.

I don’t know about carrots, but I’m pretty sure that eating acorns doesn’t improve the eyesight of squirrels.

Maybe it all has to do with how the ones doing the driving can’t see all that well.

The myth that carrots improved your eye sight was actually a British ruse.

“The Royal Air Force were able to repel the German fighters in part because of the development of a new, secret radar technology. The on-board Airborne Interception Radar (AI), first used by the RAF in 1939, had the ability to pinpoint enemy bombers before they reached the English Channel.” (Thank you Smithsonian Magazine!) But to hide this there was a massive campaign to attributing it to Carrots.

Personally I think there was a secondary reason – get people to eat better! Eat your carrots and see better! Eat your spinach and become strong! :)

Good for the eyes, Grimmy; not so good for the feet.

Because real rabbits don’t eat carrots primarily.

Actual rabbits don’t eat carrots as far as I know. That’s just a gag they started with Bugs Bunny. I would Vitamin A and other nutrients for helping vision would be found in what wild rabbits eat. So Attila may have a point.
