I’ve had salt water fish that were over 20 years old. NEVER had a goldfish live overnight! WORSE EVER was a horseshoe Crab…didn’t belong there, 48″×12″ tank, it finally died. I wish I could have taken it home!

I’ve never seen an aquarium filter powered by food.

didn’t believe it at first.I googled it found the story on the NPR website. “Luckily for the fish, they lived in a large 26-gallon (100-litre) tank and had seaweed to munch on. According to Clarkson, the fish may also have gleaned some nutrition from eating algae growing on the tank’s rocks and walls. He said naturally growing bacteria may have helped keep the water clean enough to sustain life. But like every tale of amazing survival, there’s always some dark side that goes with it. Six fish were originally in the tank; two were found alive; one was found dead and there was no trace of the other three.Goldfish are omnivores.”

Baluchi was arrested for resisting a boarding party from the Coast Guard. He tried that hamster-wheel stunt many times and cost a fortune in rescue efforts. Fun fact, (allegedly) he’s trying to prove that not all Iranians are violent irrational terrorists by resisting the Coast Guard with two knives and threatening to blow himself up, though he didn’t have a bomb. Now we know that he’s different… violent irrational and bombless :D His “political asylum” should be revoked and sent back where he belongs.

Change the wording about Baluchi from “arrested” to “rescued.” No way he’d have survived for long. What about food, water, heat, sharks, whales, and giant waves?

Some immigrants might have better luck coming to Europe on hamster wheels than overcrowded boats that capsize in the Adriatic.

I had a friend in grade school that would feed his hamster candy corn. The hamster would keep stuffing the candies into his cheek pouches until you could see the pointy ends through the pouches. It seemed funny at the time, but I’m sure that much sugar isn’t good for such a tiny animal.

Is that drawing of the hamster wheel accurate? How many days would that take? Where was he going to eat and go to the potty?
