I don’t think school counselors do that.

I’ll never understand why Greg made Luann get horrible grades in school while everyone else (except for Knute and Tiffany) got good grades

What lesson did she learn? Don’t let your baby sittee feed your homework to the dog? Doesn’t seem like something one would have to experience to figure out. Don’t babysit Lindy? She’s thinking.

Be like Rosilyn in Calvin and Hobbes…charge 3 times the normal rate.

Just don’t write another paper while you’re there.

I’m taking this way too seriously, but isn’t there some way to prove that the dog actually did eat the report? I don’t necessarily mean that Luann should provide a bag of dog poop (with bits of the report recognizable within) to Mr. Fogarty, but that would be good evidence. I don’t think Puddles ate it all anyway, but left a bunch of it in a mass of torn up scraps. Agreed that Luann was stupid and largely at fault for leaving the report within reach of Lindy, but if this was today (2024) I would bet that lawyers would become involved!

I know if any teachers, regardless of who they were, even insinuated a child of mine was a liar, I would be in their office in an eyeblink. If they are going to say, or even hint at it, they had better have proof.

I noticed this strip is copyrighted 1996. I’m surprised Luann didn’t have a laptop. Of course Lindy would have found a hammer and Luann doesn’t seem the type to routinely backup files to a flash drive. (“The Cloud” didn’t start showing up until the early 21st Century.)
