A winter walk, a starry night. Four friends, each in character, yet no one predictable. Real, alive. Verisimilar verisimilitude. I love each one, frankly and unreservedly, these very real children. We are all lucky to have met them.
Where is the light source coming from? In every panel part of their body is in shadow. I feel like the moon wouldn’t be bright enough. They went down the the beach, a bonfire we can’t see perhaps?
Since I no longer have to get up for work on Mondays, one of the things that continue to make Sundays special is the wonderful Sunday Wallace the Brave strips.

Don’t send Spud to the moon! It’s made of cheese and he’ll eat it!

As Jackie Gleason said " To the moon " ( look it up for all of you who aren’t 100 years old, like me.)

Impressive dreamers are they all. Well, they are children. And they play outside, not on videogames.

And Rose will have to help with the math side of it, because it’s sure as heck not going to be any of these three knuckleheads. :P

Spud can always find solace in his ability to rock the mic.

I remember watching the first Moon landing with my grandmother. She talked about the news when the Wright Brithers flew, and now we are on the Moon.
I would be ashamed to tell her that we’ve never been back since she died.

You can see pure terror in Spud’s eyes.
