Depends. If you’re not going anywhere then it’s bedroom slippers day.

If it’s above freezing it’s a plastic sandals day, below freezing maybe a shoe day.

From some of the women i see in the grocery store or local Walmart, it doesn’t matter as they wear those slip-on scuff type slippers and most should have been thrown out a loonngg time ago. Weather doesn’t seem to matter; rain, snow, or blowing sand/dirt

I have moccasins that can be both slipper or shoe. I wear those most of the time in the house.

In germophobic Minnesota, it’s park the shoes at the door for outside use, and in your house it’s slippers (or socks or barefoot).

It is NEVER a bedroom slippers day. Putting them on is a sure guarantee of everything turning to UNOWATT

I change shoes three or four times a day depending upon tasks. There really is no one shoe for all purposes. If all you do is sit in a chair, barefoot is fine.

Barefoot all day every day. When absolutely necessary, flip flops.

Husband always wears shoes – except at night when he has slippers next to the bed to wear.

For me the question is which eyeglasses to wear. If staying in the house wear my reading glasses. If going out and weather is sunny then it is either my prescription sunglasses or my progressive lens glasses which are photo sensitive (turn to sunglasses). If weather is not sunny than my (clear only) progressive lens glasses.

We are reenactors so if we are going to an event – do I need my repro sunglasses, repro clear glasses – or both? (I also bring a pair of modern “look like they should be period glasses” with the sunglasses of same kept in our van so I have always pair of same in the van for modern and reenactment use.)

I keep a pair of distance glasses sunglasses in our car in case I need them. I also have a spare pair of distance glasses in the car. Why? Well, one night we were out in a store and had been walking around separately. I got to the door to meet him to go home and started cleaning the pair of (clear) progressive lens glasses on my shirt and suddenly realized that I had one lens in my left hand and the rest of the glasses in my right. If I had been there alone he would have to come with a spare pair of glasses for me to me to get home and I would have been there alone after the store closed until he got there. So now there is a spare pair of glasses for me in the car – just in case.
