Many senior men whose spouse dies pass on within 6 months. With President Carter’s frail health and devotion to his wife, unfortunately he’s a strong candidate to do so (senior women losing spouses don’t do so at the same rate).

My parents were married 71 years. Mom died 30 days after dad.

I don’t mean this in a bad way, he won’t be long.

Bush I died a few months after is wife, Barbara.

Jimmy did everything he could to take care of Rosalynn, his job is done, now he can go rest in peace and join her in heaven.

Trump ought to go and say goodbye to President Carter. If there is a heaven, he will never see Jimmy again.

I don’t think he will be, Rosalynn.

All of the former (and the current) First Ladies and most of the former (and the current) President were at the memorial.

Let me guess (although there is a strange lack of coverage on this point) which past President didn’t bother to attend.

Yeah, I’m sure he had better things to do.

A toon without a hint of orange, and nodder messes it up.

She was tough, and smart, and compassionate, and lived in her faith, and I truly believe this world was a better place because she lived on it for a short while.

How about a truce today, in this room, out of respect for her?

Now—how about a tribute to Henry Kissinger?

Heaven is in eternity. Eternity means without time, so I believe that there is no waiting in heaven. We die here on Earth at a certain date, but Christians arrive in heaven at the same time, because heaven is timeless. The only waiting is on Earth.

A couple of good Christians. They never pushed their religion in other’s faces, they just let their actions tell what’s really in their hearts.

It’s been said that deaths of famous people come in threes. Well, in the political arena, we now have three: Rosalyn Carter, Henry Kissinger, and now, Sandra Day O’Connor.

May they all RIP.
