I figured Henry warmed from the inside out. That he made a dandy electric blanket.

Is Henry’s skin/scales fireproof, fire-resistant, or fire-philic?

Is he like Yosemite Sam’s dragon, who let his fire get low? I hope he doesn’t catch cold

It looks like Henry’s butt is on fire in the last panel.

In Gulp by Mary Roach, she suggests that flammable gas from large snakes in various parts of the world may have been the origin of fire-breathing dragons of legend.

BTW, like so many of her books, it covers icky topics. Either I’ve grown more squeamish, or this is by far the ickiest. It’s all about the digestive tract. Mercifully, she starts off with flavor research for pet food companies. Then it’s all slobber and farts, and every icky thing from the mouth on down.

I recommend it. Just not during or near mealtime.

Even dragons need to be comfortable…

How can a little fire breathing dragon ever be cold?

I would say he is tired because it looks to me like his a$$ is “Dragon.”

Just trying to be annoying and get attention……like all pets!!!!!

I used to have a dog that wore the paint off our oil furnace by sidling her butt up to it! She was a Whippet/Dalmation, always cold.

Our rescue dog does this with our pellet stove.

Of course he’s cold – look at how high their ceiling is! All the heat from that tiny fire is going up there and not gonna stick around
