This reminds me of a polar bear joke.
Bald eagles actually nest for the winter near where I work. A local attraction is to watch them from an observation point some distance away.
Watch out for the reindeers.
Any vacation you all survive and get back home from was a good one….lol. Disasters at the time generally become laughter in later years.
I wanna fly like an eagle
To the southsea
Fly like an eagle, let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Where is me?
Oh Lord, I think I have no orientation
Steller’s Sea Eagle the past two years here in Maine. Wonder if it’ll return this winter?
Typical Dad eagle. Won’t stop to ask for directions.
Some (a bunch of nasty descriptions) guys killed 3600 eagles to sell feathers!! They and the feather buyers should be pushed out of a plane flying south!!
There’s a website where you can watch a few Eagle families and many other birds on 24/7 cams google the non-profit Raptor Resource Project.
Eagles really don’t migrate all that far. They might move to a place with better water and food, but they will stay in their region.
Here the bald eagles sub species nests in winter, raise their chicks in winter. There is a whole state department as well as the feds to protect them.
