Fear is controlled by a part of the brain called the amygdala. This is the part of the brain that tells the adrenal glands to pump up their production. Stimulation of the amygdala is a survival instinct. We feat heights because we can get hurt if we fell. We fear large animals, especially those that make loud noises and have sharp claws and teeth because we could become lunch.
We can learn to overcome these fears. Steelworkers work atop skyscrapers and people have learned to tame and ride elephants.
However, the amygdala can be tricked to fear invented threats as well. You can run or fight or manage the fear. To do nothing is to allow it to consume you.

Facing down your fears is not the same as aggravating them. Especially when they can eat you alive.

This may not end as well as you are thinking.
What am I saying? It is obvious you have given up thinking.
Perhaps you should take up running.
