At 15 I could not wait to get my drivers license. 24 cars later, the kids can’t wait to take my keys away. Most missed; MGB ’65 so much fun, so unreliable, like a sometime loyal hot girl friend.
I, guess, I’m lucky, I still remember some incidents that occurred in my youth. I’m just sad that I know somethings occurred that I can’t remember which I would like to.
I remember going with my Dad when he bought a new car in ’59, trading in his ’57. He had me go back to the ’57 to get something out of it. It was already on the front lot with a sticker that said: “fully Reconditioned”. That is when I learned at a tender age that car dealers lie.

I even remember when I was 16… in 1961.

“Of course, I can’t remember yesterday”.

I wish I could remember yesterday, or last week, like I remember 40 years ago.

The Beatles songs, “Yesterday” and “When I’m Sixty-Four” now have new meanings.

I have no problem with history back, it’s what I ate, did, saw, agreed to last week/yesterday that I struggle to remember.

It’s also easy to complain about “young people”, which, over time, gradually becomes everyone in the world younger than you are.

Good to know that even though I’m turning 43 soon, I haven’t yet hit my “youth”.
