Well, it looks like the SCOTUS will decide if the Insurrection trump led against the United States of America will disqualify him from running again. February 8th, the SCOTUS will oral arguments and then rule on the matter pretty quickly.
Frankly, I have little hope that the SCOTUS will disqualify trump from the 2024 ballot. The conservative, bought & paid for the majority will create a loophole for trump to skate through. The same conservatives that say they hold the Constitution above all else will demonstrate that it is only the Articles and Preambles that they agree with that matter.
If the SCOTUS wasn’t the playground for wealthy donors, they would rule trump ineligible and then say he has a redress if Congress votes by 2/3rds to allow him to run. However, I’m sure they won’t do that.
Bottom line. The President of the United States, trump, led an insurrection to overturn the will of the voters on January 6th, 2021. It is a stain that will be on our country for the rest of history. We must never allow trump, or the people who supported him, elected and otherwise, to ever be in power again.

In other words, you cannot take away due process.
Then if a State Supreme Court or an appointed official do this, can a Governor do this, can a State Attorney General do this? I don’t think so, if this stands, we will never have a fair and free election again. Democratic Gov. Tony Evers of Wisconsin, Democratic Jared Golden, and others say Trump should be on the Ballot. If you disagree remember this next time Republicans are in control.
I wonder if the “Supreme” Court “Justices” are “smart” enough to realize that Trump has threatened (promised?) to render the rule of law — and that includes the Court itself — null and void. (I could add “if he’s elected”, but I’m sure he’ll claim to be “elected”, even if the Republicans make someone else their national candidate.)
And it won’t matter if the future Court rules against him, since the power of enforcement — _or lack thereof _ lies in the Executive branch… i.e., the President himself and the staff under him.

(Some, but not all, have “primary” elections, and the laws governing such primaries vary considerably, including some which allow cross-party voting and others which don’t. It does not claim to require a broader “insurrection or rebellion” against the nation or other aspects of the nation’s government. 77 year old trump, after being ruled ineligible to be on the ballot in Maine by Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, doxxed her on his platform.
Immediately after that, Bellows started receiving threats against her and her family and her team.
All of them now require security, and Bellows home was swatted, because of trump’s vindictive, sociopathic, pathetic behavior.
