We get them all the time here in FL-guys looking to trim your trees, mow the lawn, repair your roof, etc etc etc. Read an article awhile back that said it is very lucrative for them.
We made a mistake once and had a vacuum cleaner salesman in the house. He demonstrated how well it worked and that it could also wash the carpets as well. In fact it was an amazing tool – until he came to the price. Yowzah that was stupidly expensive. Needless to say, we said “thanks, but no thanks” but he just wouldn’t leave. He’s already been in the house for ages while demonstrating. Even his boss phoned him up asking him where he was as he was supposed to be at the next place. When he finally left, we resolved never to let a salesman in again.
I have YoutubeTV. They have Zen Moments when you skip ads. Nice pictures of plants, animals, beach scenes, etc. Lately however, they are putting “Football Zen Moments” . Too me that is an oxymoron
They’re usually trainees who will give you a cheap door prize for allowing them to demonstrate. One gave me a 2L A&W, another a set of steak knives. I tell them I know how expensive they are & that such fine machines are worth it, but I can’t afford it. They vacuumed my rug anyway & still gave me the door prize. My cousin sold one to his mom & one to grandma.
Programmed on the internet…..kids don’t know what life used to be! Vendors always came around before the internet changed how people shop. I prefer brick and mortar stores myself, but as I get older, I appreciate the online shopping! ☺️

Don’t you wish!!! Never let them get a foot in the door! And that includes scammers, phishers and political ads!

Unless they’re Girl Scouts selling cookies or the FFA/FHA kids selling ham’s, I don’t want any door to door sellers stop by.

If they think anyone doesn’t only watch the countdown and not the product they are crazy for wasting their advertising money.
