Comic strips can be apolitical. Unless they’re on the Op Ed page. They’re meant to be entertainment, Henry, not a place to express your political opinions.
Here’s my camping trip story. Hope you like it. Oh look. Oh look see Dick and Jane arrive to the campsite. Oh look see Dick and Jane start a campfire. Oh look see Dick and Jane roasting and eating marsh mellows. Oh look see Dick and Jane make out by the campfire. Oh look see Dick and Jane packed and ready to head home. Oh look Dick is being a Dick by not putting out the campfire. OH!!!!! LOOK LOOK!!!!! See Smokey The Bear using Dick’s face to put out the campfire.
I guess Cami got tired of trying to figure out Tic-Tac-Toe and switched to nursery rhymes. And speaking of switching, if you’re bored here, try switching to Mopped Up Thorp.
The only thing I can think of for Luke not to be able to be apolitical is he is Not a U.S. citizen and Gil has decided since he is not a citizen he does not have Freedom of Speech .
Does Cami have her own office?? Those are HER faceless streaky plaques on the wall?? Aside from the plaque I’d love to remove from these plots with more than Colgate, she’s in the Director’s chair? Talk about inmates running the asylum.
BTW, is that the Baa Baa Black Sheep play on the diagram board in the background? The arrow points to the place where the schmuck needs to stand when leading the singing????
Luke appears to be apologizing for supporting his wrestler’s right to compete in a culturally appropriate, athletically neutral costume. Or for Gil having to face some grief that it’s his job to face. Dunno which is worse.

GT has the GIL mug. Kaz had the BOB mug. Luke and Cami haven’t earned that distinction.

Can someone please explain to me why the nursery rhyme thing is so effective?

I wonder if there would have been a protest had the strip been set in Milford, Utah and not Connecticut.

If there ever was a doubt this writer was trolling the Snarkers, it has effectively been removed.
