There seems to be some kind of disconnect between a gas gauge and a man’s brain. My ex would run my car nearly dry and then try to tell me there was plenty of gas left as I would be coasting into a gas station (if I was lucky to get that far). My son won’t tell me either when the car needs gas. He frequently runs errands for me and uses my car to do so, but the car needing gas seems to be a foreign concept. I’ve learned to check the gas first, before even leaving the driveway, to know whether my first stop will be the gas station or my destination.

You better get started rather than just sitting there Paul. The sooner you leave the sooner you’ll get back.

I have known people that would do that very thing , run the gas tank down to empty , I could never understand why either ?

Judging by Paul’s reaction in the final panel, it’s obvious that he was being sarcastic.
