If you were a computer, I’d suggest powering off and the turning back on.

Before this, I didn’t know that foley meant sound effects.

Clayton is being surprisingly supportive here. But then, as a guy in training, he understands early the value of bodily noises.

For cracking his knuckles I would beat him to death with the table lamp. I can’t bear people doing that. Everyone I work with knows not to do it around me!

There are time when I’ve thought of suing Kellogg’s for using my “Morning Foley Work” in their Rice Krispies ads.

Everybody needs to do a sound check occasionally.

Good thing a certain OTHER sound effect didn’t take place!!

Some people are considerate in the morning if they arise before their spouse and try to slip out of bed without an exhibit of sound effects.

She’s trying to sleep Adam, best let her well enough alone. Dolt.

Hope it doesn’t involve a Foley catheter….

Some of my Foley sounds are accompanied by odors.

SNAP. CRACKLE. POP.

I crack like Adam, and I don’t even try.

Sounded more like a “Fogey” work out as in “Old”.

Oh Adam, you’re not getting old…you’re just getting crispy(er).

I thought it was an homage to Matt Foley, the character played by Chris Farley on SNL

No need to rush the sound effects, they’ll be involuntary soon enough.

Look at the end credits at a movie sometime and you’ll almost always see one or more foley artists listed. There’s a great article on “Foley (filmmaking)” in Wikipedia.

She doesn’t want to hear about it.

I had to create the sound of a baseball bat for a television commercial I was making. I used a paper cup. I held it about a foot away from the studio mic, with the open end facing the mic and thump the bottom with my finger nail. It worked perfectly, according to the baseball player in the commercial.

Parents with young children just getting up at 7 am. In our house, and now my adult son’s home, everyone is up before 6 am. Since we now live in southern Arizona, in a few months we’ll start rising around 5 am to beat the heat.

But it was the fartting that really got her.
