Maybe Mitty needs a fancy hooded box.

Ah, just one of the little joys of cat servantship.

I swear, every male cat I’ve ever had has made a game of trying to see how far across the room he could throw it.

Mic drop

My PuntoCat carries on like he’s burying Bluebeard’s treasure in that box.

I just sweep it up and toss it back into the box. No sense wasting clean litter.

We refer to it as digging to China.

My cat is quite neat in the litter box. I make more of a mess while cleaning the box. Whatever litter remains on the floor the dog will eat.

Yeah, my boys (except for Oop, he makes mounds) have all kicked it out.

Parker’s box is in the guest bathroom tub, so the flying litter is pretty much contained, except he can fling it so high that there’s always litter in the soap dish mounted on the shower wall. Sigh.

This is why high-wall litterboxes were invented. It takes more talent to kick litter out through the entrance. :)

Sara digs to china, but is fairly tidy. Gracie, being the complete house panther, refuses to cover her #2’s Feeling, I think, that they are masterpieces to share with the whole world. Some litter makes it’s way onto the floor, but neither girl is too bad about that. Mr Dyson doesn’t mind.

I’m told that semis have up to 18 gears.
