Of course voting is compulsory in Oz whether you have a brain or not.

Crows wouldn’t comes to vote if he do.

I am recalling the people who’ve indicated they voted based on their family’s party identification. Around me the only candidates on the local town ballot are Republican. So there is often no real chose. Sad.
