That theater group needs to follow the PBS/NPR plan. Become a public trust, get funding via federal & corporation money. At the same time make on-air pleas for donations from the public to âsupport quality programmingâ while running the same dated and often indifferent programs every day. Then set up as an online channel with a membership fee. Canât go wrong with that.
Years ago it was reported that Joan Krok, the wife of the founder of MacDonaldâs empire, bequeathed $200 million dollars to the PBS network. Gotta wonder whatever happened to that?
Iâve acted in skits and in games. Iâm not any good at it, but I like doing it.
I think I do my best acting at job interviews: I can get them to believe that I am actually interested in the job. I can turn on the excitement meter and âget into the part.â
Weâre in the middle of our 16th 10 minute play festival, and last week I got a text message from a guy I did some work for, telling me that he was on Broadway waiting for the curtain to go up on âThe Play That Goes Wrongâ Our local theater did it a year and a half ago, and I designed and built the set. He wanted to see if the original set was as good as mine.
