Astonished, horrified, how wrong that is. If you would permit, i would write them, i have very high qualifications. I am a lifetime reader of comics. You are hands down in the top ten. Captivating artistry, heart, unique, humane, loving human touch. Any statement made of why? GRRrrrr. Subjective bureaucracy. Sorry for this injustice.

They’re loss. Your comic is great! I read it daily.

Sounds like they’re being arbitrary.

Looking over the qualifications, my best guess is, you’re qualified, but didn’t have a large enough body of work (at the time). But, they should have told you! Rejection is hard enough, nevermind not knowing why. At least you know that it wasn’t a unanimous “no”, so some of the panel knew you were qualified. I can definitely empathize with it still being a sore topic (some of us are just sensitive people!). But, I hope one day, you decide to reconsider and reapply! ❤️

IKR. I had to audition for the British Columbia Pipers Association twice. The second time the Mrs came with and gave them a right royal Scottish verbal reaming out for not admitting me the first time. I think I got in because of their fear. (Not really. But it did take a second time.)

If they don’t come to their senses, we start a better club: “The Nationally Better Cartooning Socializing Club!” Amanda will be THE charter member!

Their loss….good thing I don’t follow THEIR recommendations..

There aren’t many comics where I don’t only read the comments section but go back several days to not miss anything.
