flashbacks from 2020 coming back _

During the pandemic we stole the East Cost Wave from New Zealand – it’s like a reverse nod with a raising of the eyebrows.

She has the germ of a really good idea there.

But the “stay healthy-rules” still apply…the many germs are still out there causing havoc….☹️

Man does that sound like foreshadowing.

When I play music for Masses, I give the Spock “live long and prosper” hand signal as the Sign of Peace.

Well, one could just do as Winston Churchill did, I guess…!

Pretty soon, we are all going to be wanting the shot that will take away the worry for COVID and it won’t be available for another year (in your comic timeline).

It’s funny how before covid we just accepted catching whatever bug was going around. I think the experience has made everybody a little more careful – aside from the folks who have politicized it, of course.

We do a ‘holy wave’ at our parish with many signs stating, “Please do no shake hands with the priests and deacons after Mass!”

I remember the old “Flu Shot” reminder stickers….now we just notice the nice folks who are still wearing masks to reminds us.

One church did a flu shot clinic each year. Any kid who was hollering about getting the shot was fair game for me to walk up to them and say, “Just think, after you get shot, you can fall on the floor giggling and telling people you’ve been shot. And the rest of the day you can tell people to be nice to you because you got shot this morning.” Made me very popular with the kids. Maybe not so much with the parents.
