:-D Iā€™ve learned quite a lot from watching ā€œAlfredissimoā€ with Alfred Biolek, who was a great Jewish talkmaster in German tv. He was also famous for his ā€œKĆ¼chenweinā€. He used to sip away a lot of wine with his guests during the cooking shows. ( ;-) at least most of the food I cook now is edibleā€¦)

I used to occasionally watch Julia Child and Graham Kerr. I learned that getting potted while cooking will help you live into your nineties.

Iā€™m a terrible cook. The only way I could make any money in a commercial kitchen would be to follow Gordon Ramsay around with a swear jar.

And here I was thinking Aunty had "mastered wine drinking while cooking like my ole buddy Cajun Chef Justin Wilson. He was super great to watch on TV. Only cooking show I ever watched. And not for the food but his humor.

I enjoyed Alton Brownā€™s cooking show because he made it a science lesson at the same time.

I am a decent cook. My food is edible. I have a very limited menu so although I wonā€™t die of starvation, I might die of boredom.

However, put me in front of my barbecue and I will take on the world. My barbecuing season is ā€œit ainā€™t raining.ā€ I have to admit that if we want to take advantage of my culinary mastery in this area in the winter, we have to eat early. I do not cook in the dark.

I like Master Chef, except when Gordon Ramsey starts yelling. Never watched Hellā€™s Kitchen because thatā€™s all he does.

I donā€™t remember an episode of Good Eats where there was a lot of yelling in or out of the kitchen.

Iā€™ve learned a bit more than than, but I really miss the shows on the Food Network that actually taught you how to do something.

Cooking with wine is amusing. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

When someone yells at someone else on TV, I either change the channel or shut off the TV.

I will not tolerate yelling in person and certainly not in entertainment.

I like to watch my daughter cook. She never stops, is always moving, and creates the most wonderful meals! I have never watched a cooking show on TV. Never wanted to. I like to ā€œplayā€ with food and create my own meals. I donā€™t like recipes other than for suggestions.
